Actually I’m in a point of my life where I’m questioning myself many issues. Actually I’m concerned about myself and what I should do.
I’m wondering what I would like to to for the rest of my life, althought there are many aspects for this questions, the aspect that most tickles me is my proffesional life. Actually I’m getting confortable in my current work and I would like to start doing something else, like coding. But the problem is that I’m somehow lost on where to start.
First there is the desicion on the computer language I will have to get proficiency: Java, PHP; Ruby, Python, C#,C++,C? Actually there are many computer languages but all of them are different on what they are ment for. Some are more general pourpose like Java, C#, but others are more specific, for example PHP is only for Web. If I’m not wrong Ruby and Python are also widely used for web development, but they are also Script languages.
I’ve just installed a Ubuntu 9.04 server at home so I can play around with tomcat and apache (PHP or Java), I hope i end up producing something useful.
